Privacy Policy

4Health is a food, symptom and wellness tracker. This policy explains what the 4Health app collects, why, who processes it, and how you can delete it. 4Health does not sell your information and does not show advertising.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and password, used to sign you in. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Profile and health information you enter: name, age, gender, height, weight, activity level, conditions, allergens, goals, and the meals, symptoms, moods, weight entries and bloodwork values you log.
• Photos and documents you choose: meal photos and bloodwork reports you capture or select are stored on your device.
• Product usage: which screens you open and a small set of actions (for example “meal logged”), linked to your account ID, plus standard device information such as model, operating system, app version and approximate location derived from your IP address. These events never contain the content of your logs or health records.

How we use it

We use your information to provide the app: syncing your logs across sessions, calculating nutrition totals and showing patterns in what you record. We use product usage to understand which features work and to fix problems. We do not use your health information for advertising or share it with data brokers.

Image analysis

When you ask 4Health to analyze a meal photo or a bloodwork report, that image is sent to Google’s Gemini API to estimate its contents. It is sent only when you choose to analyze it, is used only to return the result to you, and is not used by 4Health for any other purpose. You can always enter information manually instead.

Who processes your information

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) stores your account and the information you log.
• Google Gemini API analyzes images you choose to analyze.
• PostHog receives the product usage events described above.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and the meals, symptoms, moods, weight, bloodwork, saved foods and preferences stored with it. Photos and documents stored on your device are removed when you delete the app.

Security

Your stored information is only readable by your own signed-in account, and it is encrypted in transit. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

4Health is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

4Health highlights patterns in what you log. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
